Project Mockingbird was a secret campaign initiated by the Central Intelligence Agency in the 1950s. Its objective was to control the press and mold public opinion.The Agency hired reporters and infiltrated major news organizations to circulate information that supported their objectives. This project included placing fake stories and quieting oppo
